BMW G650 wins design award

Xcountry single gets a gong

BMW's recently-launched Xcountry 650 single has scored a gong at a recent award ceremony, used to open a consumer goods show in Germany.

The Gold Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany was one of five given to a a selection from a field of 744 designs.

BMW says it has scored the award five years in a row, with its 6-series cars among the winners.

BikePoint has recently been riding both the Xcountry and Xmoto - look for a test in coming weeks.
