“We have achieved an engineering masterpiece in the aerodynamic development of the M RR,” said BMW’s Christian Gonschor. “Thanks to countless hours in the wind tunnel as well as in road tests, we were able to considerably increase top speed with unchanged engine output.”
The gains are made thanks to increased downforce, which is the result of a new fairing, new winglets, a new front wheel cover with integrated brake ducts, and new aero wheel covers.
Elsewhere, the new M 1000 RR features redesigned M carbon wheels, a redesigned rear end, an ergonomic M Endurance seat, a short number plate holder and a modified wiring harness.
BMW will offer the M 1000 RR in two variants – a basic variant with a Lightweight non-metallic paint scheme, and a M Competition variant with a Blackstorm metallic paint scheme.
UPDATE: The 2023 BMW M 1000 RR will arrive in Australia early 2023 with a price tag of $52,440 (plus on-road costs).
