Bikesales rideaway pricing update
A new feature to give a more realistic cost of a motorcycle – across all postcodesIf you're in the market for a new motorcycle, Bikesales has just added a new feature in our Bike Showroom: a rideaway pricing function to give consumers a more realistic cost of a motorcycle when manufacturers do not set a national rideaway price.
Here’s how it works. From now on, the figure displayed on each search result page is a rideaway price that's the highest possible across all states. This will be the price provided by the manufacturer, plus a combination of registration and statutory charges, as well as dealer delivery charges.
On the search result page, we ask the consumer to enter their postcode. Based on the postcode, we update the price displayed to be correct for their state.
It's that simple, and a realistic guide of what you will have to pull out of your pocket to purchase your new pride and joy.
