1 BMW S 1000 R
This is anticipation at its best. It should be a caffeine-charged missile that does everything with aplomb -- and let's hope BMW hasn't lopped off too much of the S 1000 RR's sizzling top end for those who enjoy the thrill of riding at warp factor.
2 Ducati Monster 1200
The Ducati Monster range just keeps on giving after 20 years, and now we have the Testastretta-engined 1200 to contend with. Should be the best yet.
3 Honda CBR1000RR SP
At a ripe old age, Honda's CBR1000RR is still lauded for its useability and for bringing out the best in riders, so with more class on the way in the form of the SP version, there should be some more good times ahead.

Okay, I’m cheating here, because I rode it at the world press launch a couple of months back. Back mark my words, the 1290 Super Duke R will rock your world. Insane fun you can tailor to suit your mood – I want one!
2 Kawasaki Z1000
I’ve always had a soft spot for this model and I love streetfighters above anything else, so any revamp is going to get my attention. Will it continue to fly the ‘Z’ dynasty flag with pride? I can’t wait to find out.
3 BMW S 1000 R
BMW’s S 1000 RR superbike is an Exocet on wheels so the promise of a naked streetfighter version gets my blood pumping. Do you see a pattern forming among my choices here? I know, a stripped-back superbike is a relatively inexpensive way for a manufacturer to produce a ‘new’ model, but this stonking engine, when combined with a more upright ride position, should be a jail sentence on wheels. And that’s a good thing.

It’s not the sexiest thing ever, but the revamped Suzuki V-Strom looks like it’d be a fun place to spend a dirty weekend. If getting away from the tar becomes the easiest route to fun, freedom and throttle fulfillment, then price-point big adventure bikes could well lead the charge down the path less ridden.
