Can it be anyone other than Marc Marquez? The youngest ever rookie MotoGP Champion, the flying Spaniard has the world at his feet.

Keep your eye on this little guy called Marc Marquez – I reckon he’ll go places. Not only did he make an impression from his very first practice on a MotoGP bike, he kept that level of intensity up the whole year. Yes he was aggressive, but no more than Rossi was back in the day. The raw talent and maturity shown all season-long means that – barring injury – I can’t see ¬anyone taking his title for the next few years. Lorenzo needs a mention, too. He raised his game and gave us some of the best, closest racing seen. But Marquez is already smarter and faster. Who would have thought?
