Big names for Yam expo

From the Yamaha bunker: Two of Australia's best-known entertainers, Shannon Noll and James Morrison, will headline the festivities that surround Yamaha Motor Company's 50th Anniversary Lifestyle Expo & Tribe Gathering at the Grand Opening of Melbourne'

The pair will perform a couple of sets each afternoon of the event, all of which are FREE to the public, as is the entire Lifestyle Expo. Noll will headline Saturday's entertainment package, while Morrison will be the feature artist on Sunday.

The two high calibre performers will add yet another fantastic dimension to the Yamaha Lifestyle Expo & Tribe Gathering, which this year is celebrating Yamaha Motors 50th Anniversary.

To celebrate this event, Yamaha Motor Australia has compiled every aspect of their business showcasing their extraordinary range of product at Waterfront City including motorcycles (two & four wheels), marine products (outboards and WaveRunners), golf, power equipment, finance, accessories, rider training representatives and demonstrations and each of Yamaha's officially supported road and off road race teams.

The myriad of demonstrations and shows being scheduled for both land and the adjacent marina will be highlighted by the Yamaha supported Showtime Freestyle Motorcross team of riders who will perform in the main Piazza of Waterfront City with shows commencing on Friday afternoon.

While Yamaha Motor celebrate their anniversary, sister company Yamaha Music, through their long term association with Morrison, bring the Australian Jazz legend to the event.

Not only has Morrison had a long association with Yamaha Music Australia and has played an important role in designing his own signature series of trumpets and trombones, but he, along with Noll both have a love of horsepower.

In recent years Morrison has competed in the Celebrity race at the Australia F1 GP as well as participating in Rallying and even Jet Ski / WaveRunner events.

Noll on the other hand has recently joined forces with Yamaha Motor Australia where he will utilised in a promotional role. He may well be spotted riding Yamaha's awesome R1 sports bike, or taking to the bush aboard Australia's best selling motorcycle, the WR450.

While Noll and Morrison will be the headline artists for the event, Yamaha Music will also feature female trio Maske, along with Deode and ex-Screaming Jets guitarist Jimmy Hocking.

The Yamaha 50th Anniversary Lifestyle Expo & Tribe Gathering will open on Friday afternoon, followed by two-full days of action, demonstrations and shows over the course of the weekend.
