Beta has given its unique Xtrainer a makeover for 2025, although there are minimal changes to the engine and chassis from previous years.
The Xtrainer is a lightweight and compact dirt bike that blurs the lines between enduro and trials. It has been one of Beta’s best sellers in many countries and has been in production for eleven years.
Compared to the full-size RR enduro models, the Xtrainer is lighter, smaller, and easier to ride, making it a great choice for first-time off-road riders.
It is powered by a 292.3cc single cylinder two-stroke engine that features electronic oil injection and an externally adjustable power valve.
The new look of the Xtrainer helps further separate it from the RR models, with the new grey plastics complemented by the iconic Italian red frame.
Rideability is the name of the game with the Xtrainer, with a dry weight of 99kg, and a 910mm seat height that is lower than the average enduro bike.
Fully adjustable suspension is handled by a 43mm USD fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear, while the Nissin brakes are the same as the RR models.
Other features include soft compound tyres, a transparent 8.8 litre fuel tank, a cooling fan, and an “easy-pull” diaphragm clutch lever with three different settings.
The Xtrainer also features electric start, as well as a back-up kickstart, and also has an electronically coded key that is attached to a safety lanyard.
Pricing for the 2025 model is yet to be announced, but Beta Australia is expecting the bike to be available on local shores from September 2024 onwards.
