Benelli has announced that the long-awaited TRK 702 and TRK 702X adventure models are now available for pre-order in Australia.
First announced at EICMA in 2022, the TRK 702 dual-sport pair are powered by a 698cc twin-cylinder engine that is apparently good for 52kW and 70Nm.
The TRK 702 offers more of a road-biased touring option and checks in at $12,990 ride away. Meanwhile, the TRK 702X adds spoked wheels, engine protection, handguards and LED fog lights for more rugged off-road ability and checks in $13,590 ride away.
Braking is handled by twin semi-floating 320mm discs on the front and a single 260mm disc on the rear, while suspension consists of a 50mm fork with 140mm travel and a monoshock with 154mm travel.
Also featured on both TRK 702 models are 19- and 17-inch wheels, a 20 litre fuel tank, and a 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and a phone-mirroring solution. The standard 702 weighs in at 215kg without fuel and the X version weighs in at 218kg without fuel. Ground clearance is 175mm and seat height is 790mm.
Both price tags are what Benelli calls ‘introductory’, meaning they will likely rise next year. The bikes also come with a factory backed two-year unlimited kilometer warranty and two years of roadside assist. The first units are expected to arrive in May 2024.
