The first time the lightest and most powerful 1130 has gone on sale locally, and there are only a handful of the $23,490 souped-up machines on offerThe exclusive Benelli TNT 1130R Carbon Edition is now available locally, blending weight savings with a performance upgrade over the standard model.
Carbon fibre has been used on the fairing, chain guard, fuse cover, front and rear fenders to reduce weight, while increased performance has been generated through an engine mapping upgrade, HPE carbon muffler and a DNA air filter. The bike produces 161hp (120kW).
Standard TNT 1130 features include a tubular trestle swingarm, 50mm fully adjustable Marzocchi forks, Sachs fully adjustable rear shock, 320mm floating wave front disc brakes with radial-mounted Brembo monobloc four-piston calipers, and a single 240mm wave rear disc brake matched to a Brembo twin-piston caliper.
The TNT Carbon Edition employs a race-spec slipper clutch (dry), driving through a six-speed cassette-style gearbox.
Price in Australia is $23,490 (plus on-road costs), including a two-year unlimited-kilometre warranty and two-year premium roadside assist. The standard TNT 1130R retails for $22,690.
