The ceremony to commemorate the reopening of the Benelli museum was held on Saturday, May 17 in in Pesaro.
The ceremony was attended by hundreds of Benelli fans and many special guests including the mayor of Pesaro, Luca Ceriscioli, president of the Moto Club Benelli, Paolo Fontana, and the president of Italy’s historic Automoto Club, Roberto Loi.
Over 1000 square metres of the museum roof was restored, as well the exterior facade and exhibit spaces, giving a new fresh look for Benelli’s priceless heritage on display.
The museum exhibits include all of the pre-war production models of Benelli, including some special 175cc, 250cc and 500cc of the 1930s through to today’s most current range of Italian motorcycles.
The special occasion also saw the official opening of an exclusive library dedicated to Paolo Albini Ricciòli, the illustrious press officer for Benelli, giving access to all Benelli’s archived press and marketing material dating back to the middle of the 20th century.
After the completion of the final renovations later this year, Benelli fans and motorcycle enthusiasts alike will have the opportunity to experience and appreciate Benelli history through its different eras dating back to 1911, all of which have influenced the world famous brand’s heritage.
