Benelli’s local arm have revealed pricing for the two bikes with the road-focused Leoncino 800 checking in at $13,490 ride away and the scrambler-style Leoncino 800 Trail priced at $13,990 ride away. Both bikes come with a 2 year unlimited kilometre warranty and 2 years roadside assistance.
The pair of neo-retro machines will join the 752s as the brand’s only non-LAMS models. A fourth non-LAMS model, the Benelli TRK800, is also on its way.
According to Benelli’s local arm, the Leoncino 800 has recently become one of Italy’s best-selling motorcycles, with strong design elements that celebrate the brand’s 111-year history.
The bikes feature adjustable Marzocchi suspension, Brembo brakes, a 15L fuel tank, wet-anti-slip clutch and a six-speed gear box. The Trail version, which is a little more dirt-friendly, has a revised chassis, a taller seat height, longer suspension travel, a 19-inch front wheel, and off-road tyres.
Both machines also feature a TFT display, LED lighting, and classy neo-retro style. The pair are also available in three colour schemes – Rock Grey, Forest Green, and Terrain Brown.
A national media launch is due to be held in the coming weeks, with bikesales joining other local media to test the Leoncino 800 models. Stay tuned for the full review.
