Bellino the 2016 A4DE champion
The Frenchman, a former world enduro champion, beat the best that Australia could throw at himHusqvarna-mounted Frenchman Mathias Bellino has won the 2016 Yamaha Australia Australian Four-Day Enduro (A4DE), held in and around Mansfield (Vic) from November 16-19.
Bellino maintained his composure in the final motocross special test – the A4DE's traditional finale – to win the event by just 12 seconds over Yamaha's Chris Hollis, followed by four-time defending champion Daniel Milner (Yamaha).
Bellino moved into the lead on day two, and from that moment didn't look back as he produced a new flawless display in the Victorian high country.
Meanwhile, Hollis moved into second place at the expense of teammate Millner on day four, with the 32-year-old announcing his retirement just days earlier.
Josh Green (Yamaha) was fourth overall from Daniel Sanders (KTM), Lachlan Stanford (Husqvarna) and Australia's world enduro champion Matt Phillips (Sherco), while Green (E1), Bellino (E2) and Sanders (E3) were the class winners.
