Bayliss to abseil down 18-storey building

And he won't be arrested at the bottom

Where's Ben Bostrom when you need him? The American road racing star is a passionate rock climber and abseiler, and he could be just the friend Troy Bayliss is looking for this Saturday morning in Brisbane.

That's when the three-time world superbike champion will strap on a harness and rope to abseil down an 18-storey inner-Brisbane building to raise money for a charity.

Bayliss will be joined by a number of other sporting stars, including V8 Supercar champion Jamie Whincup, rugby legend Tim Horan, netballer Vicki Wilson and Jonathan Brown, captain of the Brisbane Lions.

If you are in the vicinity of Brisbane, you can catch all the action at 40 Creek Street, with Bayliss to descend at 9.30am. Who knows - he may even clean the windows on the way down.
