The organisers of the Troy Bayliss Classic have confirmed the popular off-road event will be back in 2015, with 36 racing aces set to clash on Saturday, January 17, at the Taree Motorcycle Club.
Three-time World Superbike Champion Troy Bayliss will be back to defend his title and says he's looking forward to both competing and improving the event.
"I'm looking forward to coming back and defending my title and also improving the Troy Bayliss Classic," said Bayliss, who has performed strongly at a variety of flat-track and supermoto fixtures this year, claiming five Australian titles in the process.
"We already have some great competitors confirmed who we will announce over the coming months."
The Troy Bayliss Classic has attracted top-flight competitors from near and far, with racers coming from as far afield as Europe, Japan and the United States to tackle some serious local talent.
The 2014 event saw six world champions front the starter's gun, as well as Aussies with an international racing pedigree such as Jack Miller, Ant West and Darcy Ward.
Organisers say the 2015 Motul Pirelli Troy Bayliss Classic, presented by InsureMyRide and Garden Master, will feature a number of improvements, including better facilities and more spectator mounds.
Support races and off-track entertainment will be announced in coming months, along with the competitor line-up.
Tickets for the event go on sale at 12.00pm on Friday, August 29, via www.troybaylissclassic.com.
