Three-time superbike world champion Troy Bayliss hs thrown his support behind the motoDNA racer training foundation, signing on as an official ambassador for the organisation and lending a hand to train the next generation of Aussie racers at its upcoming Big Day Out training event, slated for Monday, September 16 at Victoria’s Broadford circuit.
The event backs up last year’s inaugural Big Day Out, where some of Australia’s top motorsports athletes – including grand prix legend Kevin Magee; V8 Supercar guns Craig Lowndes, Will Davidson and Steve Richards; MotoGP champion Casey Stoner; and ASBK star Glen Allerton – gathered to mentor young Aussie racers. Bayliss will be present at this year’s Big Day Out along with a host of other top-flight talent.
MotoDNA founder, Mark McVeigh, said Bayliss would present the next generation of Aussie racing stars with some invaluable insights.
“We are very excited to have Troy Bayliss on board as a motoDNA foundation ambassador,” he said. “Not only is Troy an absolute legend through his racing exploits, he is also one of the most personable and modest racers I know. Troy will be a great asset in taking motoDNA to the next level in Australasia,” he added.
MotoDNA’s program seeks to prepare young racers for every situation they may face in their riding career, and focuses on on-track development plus off-track review and preparation.
“This year’s Big Day Out is going to be huge,” McVeigh said. “We are adding to our list of VIP sports mentors by the day. The experience for the junior road racers and guest students will be absolutely unique,” he added.
