Mark Webber got up to a fair bit in December last year – his Tasmanian charity challenge, surf lessons from Layne Beachley, just to name a few -- but we reckon we might just know which one gave him the biggest adrenalin kick. A few hot laps behind Troy Bayliss can do that.
And that’s just what happened on December 30, when the motorcycle-loving Webber – one of his best mates is speedway champion Jason Crump – glued his bum to the back of Bayliss’ Ducati 1198S around Queensland Raceway.
Bayliss has already built quite a reputation for his no-holds barred pillion rides, and Webber wasn’t spared either, as he launched the big V-twin around the ‘paper clip’ layout at quite a speed – which Webber seemed to appreciate via his Twitter account.
And Bayliss was just as effusive, praising Webber for being a solid pillion citizen.
Now if we could only cajole Bayliss back into the saddle for a one-off comeback at the 2012 world Superbike opener at Phillip Island…
