Batchelor goes all the way
The Queenslander has claimed his maiden Australian Senior Solo Speedway Championship, ahead of Dakota North and Cameron WoodwardTroy Batchelor is the 2013 Australian senior solo speedway champion after winning the third and final round in sweltering summer conditions at Kurri Kurri (NSW) on Saturday night.
Heading into the decider with an 8pt advantage, Batchelor won the A final ahead of Jason Doyle, Rohan Tungate and Dakota North to finish the championship on a maximum 60pts.
North (48pts) and Cameron Woodward (47pts) finished the championship in second and third. Tungate and Doyle completed the three rounds equal on 43pts, with the former winning a run-off to secure fourth overall.
