Massive news for devotees of the iconic Vespa motor scooter: the maiden Australian Vespa Days rally will be held from March 24-26, 2023 in the north-east Victorian city of Wangaratta.
With the support of the Vespa World Club and Vespa Australia, the rally will be open to all models across the storied history of the brand, from modern to classic, automatic and geared. It's also open to all Vespa riders, not just club members.
Organisers are also inviting international vespisti to also make the trek Down Under to meet old friends, make new ones, talk all things Vespa and exchange ideas. The event will draw references from some of the biggest European-based celebrations for the brand, including the perennially popular Vespa World Days which always enjoys an Aussie element.

Meanwhile, Wangaratta will offer excellent day-tripping opportunities for the rally crowd, with the famed King Valley wine and cheese region just up the road. For the more audacious, the likes of Mount Buffalo and Mount Hotham are a little further afield…
If you’d prefer to ride en masse, two ride-outs are planned for the Friday afternoon, four on Saturday (including one just for vintage Vespas), and one on Sunday.
On Saturday evening, there'll be a gala dinner with awards and entertainment – as well as being a prime opportunity to swap and share club merchandise and memorabilia.
There are a couple of ticketing options: an all-inclusive version to a ‘light’ one that includes all activities except the gala dinner.
