
Next week's Australian Motorcycle Expo in Melbourne is officially a sell out, with 117 separate exhibitors set to showcase the latest in motorcycle, ATV and scooter models, as well a comprehensive range of accessories, apparel, training, travel and services.
BikePoint has contacted all the major motorcycle manufacturers and asked what they have in store for the show, which will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, across the road from the Crown Entertainment Complex. Here's what you can look forward to:
BMW
- The whole range of bikes, including the G 450 X ands F 800 GS
- There will also be a demonstration of off-road ESA on the R 1200 GS, where damper settings and suspension height of both wheels can be adjusted electro hydraulically at the touch of a button
HARLEY-DAVIDSON/BUELL
- The following 2009 models will be on display - H-D Muscle and XR1200 and Buell 1125CR
- A competition to win a trip to the H-D museum, as well as a factory tour
HONDA
- Approximately 70 road bikes, off-road bikes, minibikes and scooters on display, including the award-winning CBR1000RR Fireblade, space age DN-01 cruiser, RC212V MotoGP bike and the brand new ARX1500 personal watercraft. The Finke Desert Race and Australian Safari-winning CRF450s will also be on display
- Range of merchandise for sale including race wear
- A "Gold Wing Lounge" featuring the new luxury GL1800 with GPS and airbag
- A custom-painted flame-job CBR1000RR Fireblade to be raffled off by The Snowy Ride organisers
- Well known Victorian policeman, Senior Constable Rod Lay, to talk to kids about responsible riding
- "Honda girls" on hand to hand out stickers/tattoos and pose for photos

HUSQVARNA
- All the 2009 enduro range will be on display, including the new TE310 and WR300

- Some of the 2009 models on display will include the Ninja ZX-6R, Vulcan 1700 Voyager ABS, Vulcan 1700 Classic, Vulcan 900 Custom Special Edition, Ninja 650R (nee ER650F), KX450F Monster Energy and KLX140 Monster Energy
KTM
- Full range of motorcycles and quads
- Quads include the ready to race 450SX and 505SX
MV AGUSTA
- The new F4 1078 will be on display, as well as the F4 CC - valued at $185,000!
SUZUKI
- The all-new GSX-R1000, Boulevard M90 and Gladius (replacing the SV650) will be on display
- Reigning world supercross champion Chad Reed will take the wraps off of the 2009 RM-Z450 motocrosser, and also be on hand to meet fans from 6:00-7:00pm on day one of the expo (Thursday, October 30)

YAMAHA
- The following 2009 models will be on display -- YZF-R1, VMAX, XVS950, YFM90R (Raptor ATV) and YFZ450R (sports ATV)
- The following evaluation models will be on display -- YZF-R15, XT660Z Tenere and YZF-R125

TRIUMPH
