The 2012 Australian Motorcycle Expo kicks has now kicked off on the Gold Coast, and will run through to Sunday, February 19.
A very special bike that’s been air-freighted to Australia especially for the show is the ‘Sharpie Judge’, created by Victory Motorcycles graphics designer Melissa Breitenfeldt.
Using a 2013 Victory Judge as her canvas, she used sharpie markers to create a unique paint scheme centred on blind justice. We’ll let her take up the rest of the story: “We didn’t want to go to crazy, and the plan was to keep it clean and I wanted a lot of contrasts – almost comic book style.
“The front of the bike is all about conflict. We’ve got protestors and police and fighting for justice. The centre of the tank is lady justice, and she kind of balances out the tank. And on the rear fender is the executioner when justice doesn’t go your way. And the number plates are all about Victory, racing and the model year 2013.”
The expo, which also hosts the Australian Personal Watercraft Show and the Australian Scooter Festival, will feature all the latest products and services from Australia's leading motorcycle distributors and accessory emporiums, freestyle motocross and PWC displays, streetbike stunts, a stage for special guests and presentations, and plenty more to keep all the family entertained.
There are also accessory businesses galore, insurance companies, and options aplenty for motorcycle apparel. You can even lock in you next two-wheel adventure.
The Bikesales Network will have a stand at the show, so wander over to search for your next bike -- new or used -- and get the latest in motorcycle news from Australia and around the world.
