Australia second in 2012 ISDE!

With three riders finishing inside the top 10 in the individual overall classification, Australia made good in the International Six-Day Enduro
Delivering one of the most impressive results at the 2012 International Six-Day Enduro (ISDE) in Germany, Australia’s World Trophy team finished a superb second behind France, with Italy in third place.
With three of Australia’s riders – Matthew Phillips, Josh Strang and Toby Price -- finishing inside the top 10 in the individual overall classification, Australia remained in second place for the duration of the vent, which concluded with a motocross special test at the Sachsenring race circuit.
The other three members of the Aussies team were Daniel Milner -- an impressive fourth overall in the E1 class -- Glenn Kearney and Chris Hollis.
The French, spearheaded by E3 world champion Christophe Nambotin, E1 world champion Antoine Meo, Johnny Aubert and Pierre-Alexandre Renet were never in doubt for the coveted World Trophy and led from the first day of competition.
In the individual overall standings the battle for outright victory was a close one between Nambotin and Meo. By setting the fastest time of the final day, Nambotin was finally assured of the overall win.
Price finished second behind Nambotin in the E3 class, with the Aussie champion riding from day one with a bent wheel and from Wednesday with damaged ribs.
France was also victorious in the Junior World Trophy, ahead of Great Britain, America and Australia (Ben Burrell, Luka Bussa, Mitcham Harper and Lachlan Stanford), and in the Women’s Trophy it was France from Germany and Australia (Jessica Gardiner, Tanya Hearn and Tayla Jones).
