Team Australia will attempt to regain the Speedway World Cup Trophy for the first time since 2002 with stellar line-up of current and emerging talent.
Australia will start its campaign in Event 2 in Sweden on July 26, and can choose from a power-packed 10-rider squad that includes current GP riders Chris Holder and Jason Doyle, former GP rider Troy Batchelor, 2016 Melbourne GP wildcard Sam Masters, Jack Holder (younger brother of Chris), Max Fricke, Brady Kurtz, Josh Grajczonek, Nick Morris and Rohan Tungate.
Australia will compete against Sweden, America and Germany in Event 2, with the winner progressing through to the final in Manchester on July 30.
That same formula holds for the winner of Event 1, while second and third-placed teams from the two qualifying hitouts will then go into a Race-Off, with the top team progressing to the finale.
As host country for the final, the UK team is seeded straight through to the finale.
Australia won the first two SWCs in 2001 and 2002, and since then has finished seven times in the top three without cracking it for the ultimate.
