Australia 10th in MoN

In the deep sand of Belgium, Australia scraped into the top 10 at the 2012 Motocross of Nations, which was won by Germany for the first time
Australia delivered a solid performance at the 2012 Motocross of Nations (MoN) in Belgium on September 30, finishing 10th in the final standings.
The fresh-faced Aussie team of Lawson Bopping, Luke Styke and Todd Waters was always going to be up against it in the deep and fatigue-inducing sand of Lommel, but all the riders managed to get to the finish line in their 30-minute (plus two laps) motos.
Queenslander Waters was the standout, recording 8-15 finishes, with Bopping (21-19) and Styke (26-20) providing solid back-up.
Germany (Maximilian Nagl, Ken Roczen and Marcus Schiffer) collected the 2012 crown, its first win in the MoN and in the process snapping America’s seven-year winning run. Host team Belgium was second, with America third.
