Australia’s Jett Lawrence is the 2014 65cc junior world motocross champion, with his 2-1 results at Lierneux in Belgium last weekend good enough to take home the major spoils ahead of fellow KTM riders, Japan’s Jo Shimoda (4-1) and American Jeremy Ryan (3-3).
In the 85cc class, Finland’s Kim Savaste was the victor, while Aussie Caleb Grothues – the 2012 65cc champion - dominated the opening moto before finishing sixth in the second to complete proceedings in second overall. Third was Dane Mikkel Haarup, with the trio all KTM-mounted.
Germany’s Brian Hsu (Suzuki) was the 125cc winner – the only class winner to clean sweep both races.
