Aussie wins junior world enduro round

Josh Green victorious in Greek instalment of the title after a stunning comeback from injury

Australian Josh Green has pushed his name up in lights, stunning his rivals on a TM 300en two-stroke to win the latest round of the Enduro Junior World Championship in Greece.

Returning to action after a recent knee injury, Green was a solid fifth on day one in Greece before muscling his way to the top on day two, defeating KTM's Anti Hellsten after a tight battle.

It was Green's first victory as a rookie in this year's championship, where he now lies in sixth position ahead of the penultimate weekend of racing in Turkey on September 4-5.

The 20-year-old Dublin-based Green is now the second Australian to have won a world junior enduro round after Jake Stapleton, who was also a TM rider.

Green was 11th in last year's Australia Off-Road Championship before embarking on a career in Europe. In his website profile, he lists his nationality as "Kiwi designed, Australian assembled".
