Aussie Steve Martin wins world endurance finale

Finishes second in championship

Aussie Steve Martin has partnered Igor Jerman and Steve Plater to victory in the final world endurance race of the year in Qatar.

The Yamaha Austria Racing Team (YART) entry finished three laps ahead of second-placed Yamaha Folch in the eight-hour race, giving the squad its first victory in the Endurance World Championship.

YART finished second in the six-round championship behind the Suzuki Endurance Racing Team, which failed to finish the final round.
