The Australian men's team has finished seventh in the 'International Division' (second division) of the 2010 Trial des Nations, held in Poland on September 12.
Australia (Colin Zarczynski and rookies Neil Price, Tim Coleman and Lewis Nolan) finished on 103pts in a tight battle for fourth position, which saw it conclude proceedings behind the USA (90), Finland (99) and Belgium (100).
Norway was the clear winner on 50pts, ahead of the Czech Republic (68) and Germany (72).
Australia was sixth last year, after finishing on the podium from 2005-2008.
Fifteen teams competed in the International Trophy in 2010.
"It was so good to ride as a team out there," Coleman said. "Everyone helps each other out, and having a support which was cheering at the end of each of the sections helps you to ride even better.
"For my first Trial des Nations experience, I'm really happy, I felt I rode well, and I'm happy with how everyone else was riding, so it was all a good team effort and the results aren't bad!"
In the top-tier division, Spain humbled the field to record its seventh victory in a row, again over great rival, Great Britain. Italy was third.
Spain (Toni Bou, Albert Cabestany, Jeroni Fajardo and Adam Raga) lost only 14pts in its two laps, crushing Great Britain to the tune of 38pts.
Spain has now won the TdN 17 times in its 27-year history.
