Aussie-inspired V-Rex headlines Daytona

Daytona Bike Week in the USA has been the platform for the launch of a new Harley-powered futuristic cruiser, designed by Australian Tim Cameron

Revealed in the flesh at Motards-online.com, the machine is a combination of the Aussie's design work and the manufacturing resources of American Christian Travert - who is best known for his Y2K jet-turbine powered road bike.

The V-Rex is one of two variations on the big twin theme, with the second being a sports bike. Travert plans to sell the cruiser version via his Travertson.com website, though pricing has yet to be announced. Specs include a 120-horse version of Harley's big twin, and a 303 claimed weight figure.

The machine sports an exotic-looking single-side rear suspension set-up and a hub-centre-steered front end. However the sports version (called the VR-2) runs a more conventional fork front end.
