An Australian-conceived electric scooter has earned a Good Design Awards accolade.
The awards represent our national interpretation of the best design and innovation technologies across multiple industries.
In the case of the $8980 X1 – the range-topping machine in the Fonzarelli range – the scooter earned credit for from the awards jury for “its use of materials, and fun styling mixing new and retro.
“What is even more amazing is that this bike is designed and made in Australia. All round, a beautiful example of good design coupled with sound technology and wrapped up in a highly appealing product for a growing market. Well done.”

Fonzarelli founder Michelle Nazzari says the “the X1 “offers riders a top speed of 100km/h” courtesy of a 13kW/24.5Nm electric motor.
“It travels a range of 80km (thanks to regenerative braking) and, along with the rest of the Fonzarelli range, emits zero CO2.
