Aprilia's importer and distributor in Australia, John Sample Automotive, has confirmed its learner-legal, four-stroke, single-cylinder Aprilia RS4 125 will be on sale by the end of March.
Breaking cover at last year’s EICMA Motorcycle Expo in Milan, the diminutive and LAMS-approved model mimics the brand’s potent litre-class fire-breather, the RSV4 -- a bike with which it even shares some of the same bodywork.
The bike is powered by an all-new, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, set within an advanced cast-aluminium twin-spar frame that was developed through experience the marque has gleaned in the cut and thrust of the Superbike World Championship.
In a first for the entry-level class, the RS4 125 will be available with an optional quick-shifter, allowing silky-smooth gear changes without backing off or losing any of that all-important momentum.
The RS4 125 will retail for $6490 (plus on-road costs) in Racing Black or Racing White, while in an Alitalia Racing Max Biaggi replica paint scheme it will retail for $6990 (plus on-road costs).
