Aprilia RSV4-R breaks cover

A cut-price version of the hard-charging Aprilia RSV4 Factory is almost ready to go

Italian motorcycle maker Aprilia is readying an 'affordable' version of its WSB homologated RSV4 Factory, to be called the RSV4-R.

The bike is expected to be released later in the week, but this small image of the new model has been leaked ahead of schedule.

Fitted with some of the gear of the RSV4 Factory, such as the monobloc Brembo brake calipers, the RSV4-R will miss out on things like the carbon fibre trim and Ohlins suspension.

It will retain adjustable chassis settings but won't be quite as well sprung as the Factory model.
