Anti-VLAD protests go global
San Francisco and London will lead the way against the Vicious Lawless Association Disestablishment Act, the protests timed to coincide with Australia DayThe anti-VLAD message is going global this weekend, with solidarity protests organised in locations such as San Francisco, London and Dublin against the authoritarian legislation. The protests will coincide with planned embassy protests in Australia and around the world.
Details of the San Francisco protect are as follows:
- Date: Sunday, January 26, 2014, 10.00am-12.00pm
- Location: Australian Consulate 575 Market Street, San Francisco
- Plan: Just show up. No organised pack ride, no parade, no speeches, no amplified sound, avoiding the need for city permits. Will assemble in front of the building hold signs occupying half of the public sidewalk closest to the street and avoid blocking pedestrian traffic.

In Dublin on Sunday, protestors are asked to meet at the Australian Embassy in Cumberland Road at midday, while in London protestors will converge on the Ecuadorian Embassy (a Julian Assange thing...) at midday, before making their way to Australian House at 1:00pm.
