Anti-doping warning from ASADA

The Australian Sports Anti Doping Authority has released a bulletin regarding the use of a stimulant, methylhexaneamine

Australian athletes, including motorcycle riders, are being warned by the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority (ASADA) to carefully consider their use of supplements following nine positive test results for the prohibited stimulant methylhexaneamine.

ASADA, a government statutory authority, says there has been increasing evidence that methylhexaneamine is present in supplements and other products, and the spike in positive test results (the names of the athletes hasn’t been made public) is a timely reminder to the sporting community to exercise the utmost caution in checking the contents of supplements and other products that athletes use.

Motorcycling Australia operates under the ASADA unbrella, so the warning also applies to those involved in motorcycle competition.
