Australia’s own motorcycle luggage king is shutting up shop, with the iconic Andy Strapz business entering its final months.
Director and founder Andy White has decided to close the business and phase out all product lines “in a step-wise fashion” as existing raw materials are exhausted.
White has not completely ruled out selling the business to a deserving buyer, but that outcome appears increasingly unlikely.
This means Australian customers will have only a few more months to purchase or replace Andy Strapz motorcycle travel equipment made in Australia.
Current stock includes the full range of gear, but a surge in demand is expected as riders race to secure “genuine pieces of Australian motorcycle heritage.”

The wind-up of the business is set to take place over the next three months, with June 20 scheduled as the closure date. More information on when certain products will cease production can be found on the Andy Strapz website.
Andy Strapz has long been a leader in motorcycle luggage and accessories, with products ranging from panniers and bag systems to luggage straps, tools, and camping gear.
While it is a sad occasion for an iconic business, White is viewing it through a reflective lens and is ready for his next adventure.
“We’ve come to a natural turning point,” he said. “It’s time to close this chapter and turn the page.”
That next page involves an increasing focus on motorcycle travel experiences, including curated commercial motorcycle expeditions through India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. He is delivering these opportunities in partnership with established tour operator Karma Yartri.
