The fourth instalment of the Monster Energy AUS-X Open Sydney saw current world champion Jason Anderson (Husqvarna) claim the overall win ahead of Scottish teammate Dean Wilson and Australia’s Dan Reardon (Yamaha).
Anderson won all three races at Sydney’s Qudos Arena., as he continues his preparations for the start of the 2019 AMA supercross title in January.

“To get the win down here in Sydney means a lot – last season we weren't in the shape we are this year, so it's a good place to be,” said Anderson, who will now move into Paris for more supercross competition next weekend.
“This event is so rad with a really cool vibe and super chill, so I definitely hope I'm invited back in years to come.”
Meanwhile, Justin Brayton (Honda) wrapped up his third consecutive Aussie title in the SX1 class, with teammate Brett Metcalfe second and Reardon third.

“I am so happy to win three in a row,” said Brayton. “It’s what I came here to do and I am glad we got the job done.
“It wasn’t without its difficulties though, first my family got sick, then I got sick and I never fully recovered. I have battled pneumonia for most of the time I’ve been over here so it was tough for sure but it made the overall victory so much more gratifying.
“My plan is to come back next year and defend my title. I want to keep doing this for as long as I can. If I am competitive and I am enjoying it then I want to race.”
The S-X Open Oceania Championship now rolls onto New Zealand on Saturday, November 24.
