The Husqvarna Vitpilen 401 and Svartpilen 401 have both been redesigned for 2024, with the new generation models featuring new engines, new frames, class-leading technology, and bold new styling.
It will be the biggest technical update for the two single-cylinder naked road models since they were introduced back in 2018.
Headlining the updates is a new compact 399cc single-cylinder engine that produces 45hp and is complimented by improved weight distribution and revised gearbox.
A new chassis has also been added to accommodate the new engine, with the steel trellis frame combining with a lightweight aluminium swingarm and adjustable WP suspension to provide better agility and rider feedback. The wheelbase is longer on the 2024 models, while the seat height has also been revised to 820mm
There has also been a big boost in technology, with the 2024 versions of the 401 pair benefitting from cornering traction control, switchable ride modes, cornering sensitive ABS, and a 5-inch TFT display.
Other equipment includes ByBre braking components, 17-inch wheels, quickshift, a new handlebar, and fresh style with a premium paint finish and decals. The Svartpilen opts for spoked wheels and Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres, while the Vitpilen has cast-alloy wheels with Michelin Power 6 tyres.
Pricing and availability is yet to be announced by Husqvarna Australia, but the 2024 models are listed on the local website. Husqvarna also announced an updated Vitpilen 125, Svartpilen 125, and Svartpilen 250, but it is unclear if those will be distributed on Australian shores.
