The long-awaited 2022 Husqvarna Norden 901 has finally been revealed as a production motorcycle, with the first units set to arrive in Australia in March 2022.
First shown as a concept at EICMA in November 2019, the Husqvarna Norden 901 is the Swedish-born brand's first dedicated adventure tourer under KTM ownership.
Based on the popular KTM 890 Adventure, the new Norden 901 blends typical Husky style with dual sport performance and function.

The bike is powered by the same 889cc parallel-twin engine as the 890 Adventure and it puts out 105hp and 100Nm of torque. The engine acts as a stressed member of a chromoly steel trellis frame.
Interestingly, the new Norden 901 features WP Apex suspension, which has traditionally been a more tarmac-friendly setup compared to the dirt-focused WP Xplor and WP Xact packages seen on other bikes within the KTM group, notably the KTM 890 Adventure R.
While a more offroad-focused Norden 901, like the 890 Adventure R, is not off the cards, the Norden does have 220mm of suspension travel front and rear, which is more than the standard 890 Adventure (which also features WP Apex gear).
Elsewhere, the Norden 901 includes a full suite of electronics including three ride modes (Rain, Street, Offroad), switchable cornering ABS, switchable cornering traction control, ride by wire and a TFT display. There is also an optional Explorer ride mode available, which acts in a similar way to KTM's Rally mode.
The Norden 901 also includes an Easy Shift function, a power-assist slipper clutch, 21- and 18-inch tubless spoked wheels with Pirelli Scorpion STR Rally tyres and an optional connectivity unit.
Pricing is yet to be announced, but the new 2022 Husqvarna Norden 901 will be available for pre-order, while the first units are expected to arrive in Australia in March 2022.
