Aprilia has added a new mid-capacity naked bike to its stable, with the 2021 Aprilia Tuono 660 set to arrive on Australian shores in March.
Sharing the same platform as the previously-announced, fully-faired Aprilia RS 660, the new Tuono 660 is the first example of a middleweight naked bike from the Italian manufacturer.

Derived from the Tuono V4, the new 660 platform is powered by a twin-cylinder engine that punches out 95hp. Weighing in at just 183kg wet, Aprilia says the new Tuono 660, like its RS sibling, is designed for great power-to-weight ratio. The bike will also be offered in a LAMS version.
Borrowing the aggressive and sporty style from the current Tuono family, the Tuono 660 is aimed at younger riders looking for a manageable machine with plenty of cool-factor.
The new bike features a lightweight die-cast aluminium frame and swingarm, adjustable Kayaba suspension, a high handlebar, and naked-specific ergonomics and geometry.
Also featured on the new Tuono 660 is a comprehensive electronics package which features ride-by-wire, five riding modes, multi-level traction control, wheelie control, cruise control, ABS, and colour TFT instrumentation.
The new 2021 Aprilia Tuono 660 will be available in three colour schemes: Concept Black, Iridium Grey, and Acid Gold – the latter which has already proved popular on the RS 660.
The new Tuono 660 and RS 660 will be joined by the updated Aprilia RSV4 and Tuono V4.
While exact arrival dates and pricing are yet to be announced, the new Aprilia Tuono 660 is expected to arrive in March, with the price tag set to fall between $18,500 and $19,500.
