Food for thought: check out this gritty design idea for the Yamaha MT-09We all know the Yamaha MT-09 is a stonking motorcycle, and with the manufacturers clambering over themselves to keep the adventure bike segment crammed with new models, designer Oberdan “Obiboi” Bezzi has penned this delectable beastie, based around the Yamaha MT-09.
Just a drawing at this stage, Obiboi's Baja version of the Yamaha MT-09 has huge merit, with strong practicality considered. In short, it’s a custom build cusing bolt-on parts in a kit, with no cutting or welding involved.
The MT-09 offers a realistic platform for an adventure bike, especially if supplied with several new parts. We’d love to see long travel suspension and dual-sport knobbies, a bash plate, wider footpegs, handguards and a navigation/roadbook cluster.
Just a bit of a dream right now, we reckon Yamaha will look very closely at this one. What do you think?
