Aaron Slight praying for a GAS explosion

Joins forces with All Black star in the rag trade

Here's one for the what are they doing now file. Former world superbike star and three-time Suzuka 8-Hour winner Aaron Slight has embarked on a new business venture, joining forces with All Black star Daniel Carter to take on ownership of the GAS Clothing brand in New Zealand.

Slight enjoyed a long-term association with the Italian-made GAS apparel when he was racing in world superbike for Honda - the company still backs the Japanese manufacturer's official MotoGP team -- and now he's handed over plenty of the folding stuff to take on the official New Zealand arm of the empire.

There are currently four GAS stores, spread across Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.

Slight, who will turn 44 on January 19, won the 1991 Australian superbike title before heading to WSBK, where he contested 229 races for 13 wins, 42 second places and 26 thirds.
