Motive power has echoes of local builder Lucky Kaiser, who lopped a couple of cylinders off a Merlin engine to build a motorcycle. In Leonhardt's case, he's using two pots from a 9-cylinder radial aircraft engine. The machine claims 350 horses at 2800rpm and 700Nm of torque at 1900rpm.
Comparison drawings on the creator's website suggest the machine will dwarf a Triumph Rocket III in physical stature and could be a real handful. Nevertheless the plan is to gain German transport authority approval for highway use.
The massive wheels are from a Boeing 767 and all-up weight is expected to be around 360 kilos.
