350SX-F the star of 2011 KTM show

The 350 is set to be the marque's new flagship, and prospective customers now have the chance to try it out

Austrian powerhouse KTM has unveiled its off-road line-up for 2011, which is headlined by the new 350SX-F motocross scalpel.

Already being campaigned in the world motocross title - which it's leading - and closer to home by teenage tyro Tye Simmonds in the Rockstar MX Nationals, the 350SX-F features fuel injection and a conventional rear linkage, unlike the hitherto motocross flagship, the 450SX-F. It has the same double-cradle type steel frame as its motocross brethren.

The 350SX-F has Keihin fuel injection with a 42mm throttle body, and it transfers power through a five-speed transmission and a 14:50 final drive. No power or torque figures are quoted on the company's official literature.

KTM has maintained its WP suspension link (no surprise there because it owns the company…) on the 350SX-F, with 48mm upside-down forks matched to the aforementioned linked monoshock rear end. The only other KTM with linked rear suspension is the 250SX-F, while all the others still maintain the PDS linkless set-up.

KTM claims a dry weight (no fuel) of 103.9kg for the 350SX-F, sitting it between the 250SX-F (99.9kg) and 450SX-F (106.9kg).

The 2011 motocross line-up also features a newly developed frame and chassis components.

If you'd like to take one of the 2011 motocross bikes for a demo, or maybe one of the 2010 enduro bikes, KTM has announced a number of upcoming public demo days.

The KTM Dirt Days calendar will unfold as follows:

Vic - June 20, Monza Park, Ballarat

Details of the days are as follows:

Meanwhile, the full off-road line-up will be delivered to KTM dealers from July of this year. Pricing is still to be announced.
