KTM says its latest generation Freeride E electric dirt bike is headed for Australian shores from July 2026 onwards, but only in “limited numbers”.
The 2027 KTM Freeride E boasts refined power delivery and a “modesty battery capacity increase” compared to the previous generation.
Power is delivered by an interchangeable 5.5kWh MX50 lithium-ion battery and a waterproof and dustproof motor, with peak figures of 19.2kW and 37Nm, and a claimed top-speed of 95km/h.

The 29kg battery delivers “2-3 hours” of range, which KTM says is “typical enduro-esque riding time”, while charging times are 8 hours with a standard charger and 1.5 hours with a 3.3kW “power” charger.
Weighing in at 112kg, the Freeride E rolls on a chromoly steel frame and an aluminium subframe, with 21- and 18-inch wheels, and it has a seat height of 910mm. Suspension is handled by WP XACT and XPLOR suspension.
