Honda has used the 2025 EICMA stage to officially reveal the production-ready WN7, bringing to market a fully fledged electric motorcycle developed from the earlier EV FUN concept.
Marking a major step in Honda’s two-wheeled electrification plan, the WN7 is powered by a 9.3kWh high-voltage lithium-ion battery and liquid-cooled motor. It is said to produce 50kW (67hp) peak power and 100Nm of torque, with a constant rated output of 18kW (24hp) for the standard model.
Honda has also unveiled a less-powerful variant for Europe’s A2 licence holders, with a constant rated output of 11kW (15hp).

Charging can be carried out using car-grade CCS2 quick charging or domestic power. A 20-80 per cent top-up can be achieved in under 30 minutes, adding about 89km of range, while full charging takes between 2.4 and 5.5 hours depending on the charger. Honda quotes a range of up to 140km for the 18kW version and 153km for the 11kW variant.
Equipment levels mirror those of a premium internal combustion nakedbike. The WN7 includes four riding modes (Sport, Standard, Rain and Econ) along with four regenerative deceleration settings adjustable via paddles on the left-hand switchblock.

Traction control, cornering ABS, adaptive cruise control and a forward/reverse walking speed mode come standard. A five-inch TFT display integrates smartphone connectivity, navigation and USB-C charging, while the lighting package features dual projector headlights with DRL, LED indicators with emergency stop signal and a keyless ignition system.
Built around an innovative aluminium frameless chassis that uses the battery as a stressed member, the WN7 runs 43mm Showa USD forks and a cantilever monoshock. Braking is by Nissin, with twin 296mm front discs and a 256mm rear, managed by an IMU-actuated dual-channel ABS system.

The 17-inch cast-aluminium wheels wear 120/70R17 and 150/60 R17 tyres. Rake and trail are set at 25 degrees and 99mm respectively, with a 1480mm wheelbase and 217kg kerb weight. The WN7’s seat height is quoted at 800mm.
Performance figures place the WN7 alongside mid-capacity petrol-powered models. Honda claims 0-50m in 3.9 seconds, 0-100km/h in 4.6 seconds, and a top speed of 129km/h for the 18kW model.
Power consumption is rated at 81Wh/km, aided by a low-mounted motor that centralises mass and a quiet belt-drive final transmission.
Styling follows Honda’s new electric design language. The “Wind Naked” name reflects its quiet, smooth nature, while ‘7’ denotes its class position in Honda’s output scale – suggesting there’s plans for more in the future.

The WN7’s minimalist profile highlights the battery as a visual centrepiece, framed by horizontal LED lines, semi-opaque shrouds and a new Honda typeface logo that signals the company’s move into electric motorcycles. Honda will offer a small range of accessories including a rear seat bag and two home charging cable options, while colour options for the bike are Mat Pearl Morion Black, Pearl Deep Mud Gray or Graphite Black.
Honda Australia has said the WN7 as under evaluation for the local market following its international debut.
