CFMOTO has unveiled its new adventure-touring flagship, the 1000MT-X, at EICMA 2025 in Milan overnight.
The 1000MT-X will sit at the top of CFMoto’s expanding MT range, joining the existing 450MT, 700MT and 800MT models. Developed under the company’s ‘Future Faster’ theme, it showcases the brand’s growing capability in the large-capacity adventure-touring segment.
Power comes from a 946.2cc parallel twin producing 83kW (111hp) at 8500rpm and 105Nm at 6250rpm. Bosch MSE 9.0 fuel injection manages delivery and throttle response, with more than 100,000km of endurance testing claimed.

The lightweight alloy-case engine weighs 56kg and contributes to a dry weight of 199kg. With a 22.5-litre tank, CFMoto claims a range of more than 450km under mixed conditions.
The 1000MT-X rides on a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel setup, with aerospace-grade 7-series aluminium rims offering 67 per cent greater tensile strength than standard alloys, shod with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres.
Suspension is by way of fully adjustable KYB units at both ends, a 48mm USD fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear and each offering 230mm of travel. Braking is handled by Brembo with dual 320mm front discs gripped by four-piston calipers and a twin-piston caliper on a 260mm disc at the rear. A Bosch six-axis IMU enables five ride modes, cornering ABS and dynamic traction control, all accessed via a large 8-inch full-colour TFT touchscreen
Standard features include tyre-pressure monitoring, a quickshifter, cruise control, heated grips and seat, as well as adjustable handlebars and windscreen. Protective equipment extends to a skid plate, handguards and a chain guard. Ergonomics have been shaped for comfort both seated and standing.

Two colours will be available – Zephyr Blue and Tactical Green – with the overall design described as a chiselled, long-range adventure machine built for comfort and control. The standard seat height is 870mm, with a lower version to be offered that trims suspension travel and seat height by 40mm.
Alongside the production model, CFMoto also unveiled the 1000MT-X Crafted concept to illustrate the platform’s personalisation potential. Displayed in Italy, it featured bronze forks and wheels, satin-grey engine covers, a grippy frame protector, magnetic swingarm cover and protection bars, giving the bike a more rugged appearance.
There is no word as yet on Australian pricing or when the new 1000cc adventure tourer may be available in local dealerships.
