Ducati has announced a high-spec version of its popular Monster model, with the new SP variant offering a number of key upgrades.
The 2023 Ducati Monster SP adds fully-adjustable Ohlins suspension, Brembo Stylema brake components, a Termignoni approved silencer, Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres, a steering dampener, and a lithium-ion battery.
In addition, the new Ducati Monster SP has been equipped with recalibrated electronics and a new wet weather riding mode.
Released in 2021, the current Monster platform builds on the spirit of the original Monster that was launched in 1993. It is powered by a Testastretta engine that puts out 111hp. The frame is inspired by the Panigale V4 sportsbike.
Ducati’s SP designation is often given to top-of-the-range variants of some of the Italian brand’s key models. It represents premium specification and high-performance.
The SP version maintains the Monster’s comprehensive electronics, including cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, riding modes, and a 4.3-inch TFT dash.
Arriving on Australian shores in May 2023, the new 2023 Ducati Monster SP will check in at a very attractive $23,200 ride away.
