CFMOTO has revealed a competitive price tag for its new mid-capacity parallel-twin sports bike, which is due to hit dealer floors in April 2023.
The 2023 CFMOTO 450SR will check in at $7990 ride away, which places it favourably against other mid-cap LAMS sportsbikes including the Kawasaki Ninja 400 ($8949 ride away), Honda CBR500R ($11,142 ride away), Yamaha YZF-R3 ($8549 ride away), and KTM RC 390 ($8399 ride away).

CFMOTO to make Moto3 World Championship debut in 2022
CFMOTO first teased the 450SR as a concept in October, 2021, before officially announcing the production version in May 2022. It was ideal timing, with the Chinese manufacturer announcing its entry into the Moto3 World Championship courtesy of its partnership with KTM.
Powered by a 449.9cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, the 450SR puts out a claimed 46.9hp (34.5kW) at 10,000rpm, and 39.3Nm at 7750rpm, while CFMOTO also claims a top speed of 190km/h.
It features an FCC slipper clutch, Brembo M40 brakes with a single 320mm floating disc at the front and a single 220mm disc at the rear, Bosch ABS, LED lighting, a 5-inch colour TFT display, and T-Box Bluetooth connectivity.
Uniquely, the bike also features two switchable shift patterns. The standard setting acts in a normal road-friendly manner, while the reverse GP-Shift mode offers quicker upshifts and slower, more-controlled downshifts.
Elsewhere, the bike runs on a lightweight chromium-molybdenum alloy steel frame, an upside-down front fork, and a rear shock with linkage.
The 450SR will come in two colour schemes – Nebula Black with Pearl White and Tosca Green accents or Zircon Black with Velocity Grey and Red accents.
The 450SR will be available in April for $7990 ride away and is backed by CFMOTO’s three-year warranty.
