Yamaha’s XMAX 300 scooter returns for the 2019 model year in a Matt Silver colour scheme, and is priced at $6999 plus on-road costs.
The XMAX 300, introduced in 2017 a mid-capacity option in Yamaha’s lineup, has motorcycle-type forks and a large 15-inch front wheel (14-inch rear). It’s powered by a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder 292cc Blue Core matched to a twist-and-go V-Belt automatic transmission.
Standard XMAX 300 safety features include ABS and traction control, as well as a keyless ignition.

Borrowing DNA from Yamaha’s top-of-the-range TMAX 530 SX scooter, the XMAX 300 has full LED twin-eye headlights, and a third central LED light which illuminates when high beam is activated. The taillights also feature LED bulbs.
The instrument panel consists of an analogue speedometer and tachometer with a central multi-function LCD display. A handlebar-mounted control switch allows scrolling through the displays.
The XMAX 300 is joined in Yamaha’s scooter range by the aforementioned TMAX 530 SX, The NMAX 155 and Tricity 155.
Generous underseat storage is roomy enough to hold two full-face helmets.
