2019 Triumph Scrambler 1200
Will be available in two variants: the XC and more off-road focussed XETriumph’s finally launched its new 1200 Scrambler, powered by a 90hp/110Nm ‘High Power’ version of the firm’s 270-degree 1200cc parallel twin engine and available in two variants: the XC and more off-road orientated flagship XE.
The 1200s now join the 900cc Street Scrambler in Triumph’s line-up, and come with two-into-two exhausts with high-level silencers, TFT instruments, multiple riding modes, LED lighting, illuminated backlit switches, torque-assist clutch, keyless ignition, cruise control, USB charging, Showa suspension, Brembo brakes, and Pirelli Scorpion rally tyres.
Both models feature Road, Rain, Off-Road, Sport and Rider-configurable riding modes, while the XE also has an ‘Off-Road Pro’ mode, which turns ABS and traction control off. The XE also has cornering ABS and traction control.
Peak torque for the powerplant is at 3950rpm, and the full power arrives at 7400rpm.
The XE delivers 250mm wheel travel, and the XC has 200mm. Both models are equipped with piggyback reservoirs. Befitting its more rugged stance, the XE also has a longer swingarm (579mm to 547mm) and a taller seat height (870mm to 840mm).
Dry weight for the XC is 205kg, and the XE tips the scales at 207kg. Fuel tank capacity is 16 litres.
Styling wise, the 1200 Scramblers have side-laced wheels and bench seats, while the XE adds hand guards with an aluminium brace, a Brembo MCS lever, silver handlebar finish with black anodised risers and clamp, and gold-coloured forks.

The XC has Jet Black/Matt Black and Khaki Green/Brooklands Green liveries, and the XE will be available in Fusion White/Brooklands Green or Cobalt Blue/Jet Black.
Accessories
Accessories include a high-level front mudguard, stainless steel engine bars and headlight grille, Arrow carbon fibre silencer, indicator relocation kit, handlebar brace, number board, panniers, tank bag and 30-litre roll bag.

Containing recent Triumph tradition, there are two kits – ‘Escape’ and ‘Extreme’ – to use as the starting point for personalisation.
