KTM’s already announced that its two-stroke range of EXC enduro bikes will be fuel injected from now on – ditching carburetors for good – and now the company has released details of its entire 2019 EXC range.
The sole focus on Transfer Port Injection (TPI) for the 250 EXC and 300 EXC two-stroke models is the biggest headline act for 2019 (the smaller 125 and 150 two-strokes remain carby fed, though) but across the range updates include updated WP suspension, a new seat cover, stronger battery and new graphics.
Standard features include the KTM staples: Brembo brakes, No-Dirt footpegs, NEKEN handlebar, CNC-milled hubs and Giant rims.
The aforementioned 125 XC-W and KTM 150 XC-W two-strokes, designed for closed-course use, get a new cylinder, newly designed clutch, and a reworked six-speed transmission which offers “better function and improved reliability”.

2018 KTM 350/500 EXC-F review
“The last two years have been incredibly exciting for our enduro machine development at KTM. A brand new ground-breaking generation for model year 2017 that had been redesigned from the ground up, followed by a world first for model year 2018 thanks to the serial-production fuel-injection two-stroke offroad competition models with the KTM 250 EXC TPI and KTM 300 EXC TPI,” said KTM Senior Product Manager Offroad, Joachim Sauer.
“It’s been an incredibly fast-moving but fruitful few years in terms of development for this segment in which we remain the market leaders. Model year 2019 sees some key adjustments across all models, along with more in-depth refinements for our KTM 125 XC-W and KTM 150 XC-W machines.
“As we step into a new era of enduro as a whole, we are looking forward to the latest KTM EXC models reaching dealer floor.”
KTM Australia is yet to announce availability, but expect the 2019 models to arrive sometime in the third quarter of 2018.
